About Valérie
Having arrived at Genoscope in 1999 with a BTS (Advanced Vocational Diploma) in Biotechnology, I'm one of the lab's "veterans," but my passion remains as strong as ever!
This place is practically my second home: lab benches, protocols, and even the quirks of E. coli hold (almost) no secrets for me.
My playground? Genetic engineering in E. coli. I love sharing this expertise with students, seeing them gain confidence and flourish in their projects.
Rigour and safety are my mantras: I ensure that best practices are followed, because a well-organized lab is a lab where good science is done!
Finally, I believe that science is like a good lab recipe: it always works best when you mix everyone's ideas, questions, and experiences!
