Our biodegradation projects investigate microbial diversity and catabolic pathways involved in the breakdown of plastics and persistent pollutants. We combine biodiversity exploration with experimental screening to identify efficient strains and enzymes for targeted degradation routes.

These studies integrate molecular characterization and process-oriented validation to support the development of scalable biodegradation solutions.
